WOOLGREASE FATTY ACIDS are produced from the chemical treatment of woolgrease, a natural, renewable raw material which is obtained from the scouring (washing) of raw wool. It is a highly complex mixture of semi-refined woolgrease and fatty acids. Chemically it is a wax and a complex mixture of esters, di-esters and hydroxyl esters of lanolin alcohols with high molecular weight lanolin acids.
WOOLGREASE FATTY ACIDS are a versatile raw material for use in rust preventatives, greases, lubricants, cutting fluids, dewatering chemicals, leather processing etc.
